Clint Eastwood much more than an icon of masculinity.

Clinton "Clint" Eastwood, Jr. (born May 31, 1930) is an American actor, film director, producer, musician, and politician. He rose to international fame with his role as the Man with No Name in Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy of spaghetti Westerns during the 1960s, and as antihero cop Harry Callahan in the five Dirty Harry films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. These roles, among others, have made him an enduring cultural icon of masculinity.
For his work in the Western film Unforgiven (1992) and the sports drama Million Dollar Baby (2004), Eastwood won Academy Awards for Best Director and Producer of the Best Picture, as well as receiving nominations for Best Actor.  Other popular films include the Western Hang 'Em High (1968), the psychological thriller Play Misty for Me (1971), the crime film Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974), the Western The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976), the prison film Escape from Alcatraz (1979), the action film Firefox (1982), the suspense thriller Tightrope (1984), the Western Pale Rider (1985), the war film Heartbreak Ridge (1986), the action thriller In the Line of Fire (1993), the romantic drama The Bridges of Madison County (1995), and the drama Gran Torino (2008).
In addition to directing many of his own star vehicles, Eastwood has also directed films in which he did not appear, such as the mystery drama Mystic River (2003) and the war film Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), for which he received Academy Award nominations, and the drama Changeling (2008). The war drama biopic American Sniper (2014) set box office records for the biggest January release ever and was also the biggest opening ever for an Eastwood film. He received considerable critical praise in France for several films including some which were not well received in the United States.
Since 1967, Eastwood has run his own production company, Malpaso, which has produced all except four of his American films.

St . Patrick's day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A new celebration took place in the EOI School of Xirivella, and our teacher, Maria, showed us how to enjoy english classes in a different way.

We were celebrating St Patrick's day, an Irish cultural and religious celebration that holds on 17 March and commemorates the death of  Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.

We took the opportunity to decorate ourselves with stickers of green flowers, practice english and  have fun.

Dragon force

The reason of this video is quite simple. We all are always complaining about  how fast  people talk in  listenings . When I feel really tired of listening  English audios, I usually try some of the videos that this heavy metal group has posted on youtube.

Move forward untill minute 1:50 and try to follow the guitarists. Try it twice, and please pay attention to them. The First you try to do it, I'm pretty sure you won´t be able to follow a single note, but after a few attempts, you will notice how your attention improves.

Listen to the guitarists at least twice, and then try it harder with your English listening . The more you try  ultra fast music, the easier you´ll find your listening in English class. Please don't let this opportunity goes by and try it out.

GAMES OF THRONES SEASON 1 CHAPTER 5

In my point of view, Game of thrones has been one of the most interesting tasks we have done in our English classes. It consisted on firstly watching a specific chapter of the serie in the original version, secondly sum up the chapter in order to expose it in class and finally preparing  a quick exam for the rest of the students.

This chapter is all about how Jon Snow is an illegitimate child.

At a feast for the royal guests, Jon Snow plays with his albino direwolf, Ghost, and talks to his uncle Benjen, who is a member of the Night's Watch.

Jon is upset about being an illegitimate child and wants to join the Night's Watch. But Benjen thinks he's too young and the Night's Watch is a hard life for a kid.

Upset by this talk, Jon runs outside and meets Tyrion Lannister, the dwarf. Tyrion bonds with Jon and gives him some advice about turning his weakness into a strength. Or something like that – they're both a little drunk in that scene.

The Stark advisor, Maester Luwin, comes to tell Catelyn and Eddard that he found a secret note in his room. It turns out that this note is from Catelyn's sister Lysa, who was married to Jon Arryn. The note says that the Lannisters poisoned Jon Arryn.
What's funny here is that this further convinces Catelyn that Eddard has to take the job, as they killed the previous guy, so why don't you try that job out?

Catelyn  hates Jon Snow. She tells Eddard that Jon Snow can't stay when Eddard goes to King's Landing, but Eddard can't bring him to the capital.
Luckily, Luwin has the solution and let Jon Snow join the Night's Watch.
